Just received a slight nerf already, now takes up twice as much filling, so it's effectiveness is halved. Maybe good for us, maybe not.

That's more reasonable. I can live with this.

You can't have a nerf when something isn't on the live servers yet....

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

It was however a very valid concern.

Now it is not the problem it once was and I am completely able to accept how it works now.

Or is it Caylin? It may be twice as filling now... But is that un-experimented?

If experimentation is done on it, can you get the brandy back down to the level it was before?

If you can, then your problem hasn't gone away.

Well, it was so you could take 4 with experimentation done (This was only possible with experimentation to begin with I believe), now you can only take 2 it seems.

1000 vs a possible 2000 is infinitely better and more balanced. To even get to this point is a pain in the neck for the chefs in material quality, as well as finding the BE's to make their additives at that quality as well.

it's just...that much better, especially in hopes that spices might get a boost.

It also does not completely destroy the entertainer buff business. Also a good thing.

As Caylin, one of the major issues to getting the best food is including a BE created additive and as one BE who posted here had said, it's an incredibly painstaking process and each additive would cost a LOT.

Fear not my friends. The spice will flow...

Good news on all fronts, the poor availability of the BE additives means I can slouch my way through chef to boost my income, and continue to sell stock. Plus the penalties for contraband got weakened, so there is drop in spice sales should stop and hopefully go back up.. maybe the future is bright for the poor crafter smuggler

It's not a bug, it's "immersion".

Check the actual resource line in the schematic for the requirements. The bit above that is the "flavorful description" saying what part of the food those resources are being used for. So a synthsteak's hide requirement is used for it's "preservative wrap". For roleplaying purposes, you could do the wine snob thing and say that only Vasarian Brandy made with fruits and berries from Talus are a "true" Vasarian brandy, anything else is a cheap knock-off. Kind of like how a sparkling white wine has to be made from grapes grown in a particular part of France to be considered real Champagne.

I got a bit nervous when I noticed that. It was a big relief when my fruit from Naboo worked just fine.
