Thread: I have been thinking about giving up on Chef

Im with Kardia, the Chef food/drinks do not make a big enough impact on combat to even justify someone spending money on them.... The good sales some of you are having is only temp. I've tested out most of the foods/drinks on my combat ALT and they make little to no impact in combat.... Once all the combat players figure this out, your sales will be in the toilet.
As far as BE being more popular then Chef, the only thing that BE's can make that are worth anything are the Stim Packs. The other stuff like the enhancers have the same problem as chef products, they do not improve healing enough to justify there cost of making them.
Mac'ka (Master Doc, Master Combat Meic and Novice Pistoleer)
Monoth (Master Rifleman, Master Bounty Hunter and Novice CH)
Zigster (Master Chef and Master Bio-Engineer)

I am glad that no one on the Ahazi feels the way you do. They have been buying food like its going out of stile on my server. ![]()
From the way my food has been selling I would say it must help some /shrug

If it'll help click here and check out the post-CU menu my partners and I came up with. There are a lot more useful artisan foods/drinks than there were before and they've been selling like crazy. I'd definately suggest investing in a artisan experimentation suit, especially if your crafter is a human

The sky is falling, nothing but doom and gloom. Please test things for yourself before issuing an opinion.
Not to be rude, but if you were that established a chef before the CU and it isnt just about making credits then it should not matter now. If you are not doing it for fun then do something else. If you are doing it for the love of the profession then sales will make no difference anyway because you have 1 billion credits already for being the top chef on your server for so long.
People will always want an edge so foods are now more viable than ever. We offer the best edge available.

Hmmm, and for me and others, the foods make the difference in soloing at or above my level. +100 to melee defence, +60 ranged defense, +70 to accuracy, +450 health and +200 regen on health and action, +20 to accuracy vs. creature, are all in my standard menu for my character. My chef altcan't keep stuff on the shelf. That doesn't include the stuff I personally don't use but make for others such as increases to unarmed damage, poison and disease and bleeding resists and more.
I'm not by any means an uber chef, but I enjoyed it. I have been doing it part time, and mostly just selling old inventory these days.
Haven't sold much, though.
Sold some Ice-tea crates. That was weird. Never sold them before. I sold some crispic, too. But sales are way down. All sorts of reasons, I think. But whatever. I don't really care. Just thought I'd share what's goin on for this small time chef.
