Why does it seem like artisan foods are better then chef, most artisan foods last like 4 times longer with 1/3 to 1/4 the filling with decents stat +. is anything going to be done with this??

because its a fact and it is stupid. I dont mind that a MA is thrown a bone with a food but the new food menu favors the MA over the chef. For those of us locked up on Sp's from MBE and merchant along with chef , this stinks. It also makes no sense. Hopefully the Devs will address this along with the number of now useless and redundant foods. I think either all foods need to use chef ex points or some foods need to be moved out of the artisan tree. btw chef is far from dead, just try any deccent action regen, accuracy or defense food, so stop freakin out (and droping your prices like its the end of the world).

Yeah, and it pisses me of a bit.
I'm a 12 point chef, but my suit is useless for those kinds of food. Sure my Chef-foods are still better than that of a 10 pointer, but most of them are far too short duration.

Also my chef is a rodian, while a human gets 1 Artisan Experiment point for free (and only need +5 for the second). So basicly a human 4400 Artisan can make better food than my Master Artisan/Master Chef rodian. That really sucks.

I just wished the foods in the Artisan tree would use Chef Experimentation if its higher than Artisan Experimentation.
I guess its not possible from the game design, but how about this:
Give us the Artisan foods again at Novice Chef (they would use Chef points then), same stats, same resources, same everything, just perhaps a slightly different name, so the game can tell them apart (and we can in the crafting list) - perhaps "Blob Candy (Chef version)" or so. Or at Master Chef for all I care (won't make a difference really).
It would make things a bit fairer again.

Heh, I was thinking the same thing the more I started up the chef post-CU. It appears that almost all of the artisan foods are worth crafting, and this is not the case for chef itself. Yes, there are plenty of chef foods worth crafting, but having so many artisan foods that are essential hurts the basic Master Chef, relying on a limited amount of artisan xp points to make food. While I'm glad to see any sort of food be useful post-CU, the balance of power between artisan and chef foods seems a tad off, and I hope the devs do some "tweaking" relatively soon.

I paid about 40 mil for my Chef Experimentation suit. Wonder how much the Artisan one is gonna cost?
