**Any of these that are stickey'd somewhere please forgive me**

Ok guys, I have made some +90 Ranged Def foods

Plus some Melee Def Foods +90 --- also others but lets just go here first as these are the ones I need and well be selling.

Ok I did some tests and Bio guys know this-- I used my Knight to do some hits and take damage for testing... GUESS WHAT...

Please tell me what I should see when using the ranged def food?

Please tell me what I should see when using the melee def food?

I will tell you this last night with my Tests, Not only did I figure out that Bio Cothes arnt working at all whatsoever, BUT with my tests guess what, nor did the foods AT ALL... In fact it now is a waste to even use them -- Im not sure the regen of Foods is even working, I did not test that part. BUT I can asure you unless it was a server bug the defense foods are not even remotly working. No chance of less hits happend... in fact using foods or not seemed to have the exact same damage, same amount hit in the same amount of time.

I guess you guys may know this alredy but was there anyword on the getting fixed/?

Well, in theory, the damage done to you is supposed to be a function of the difference between their accuracy and your defense. However, there may be other things going on behind the scenes that can confuse things. For example, if your unbuffed defense is higher than your opponent's accuracy, you may already be at "minimum damage", so buffing defense won't have any effect on damage from that creature/player. Also, there's supposed to be "diminishing returns" on skill mods, so +90 may not add that much if you're base defense is really high.

What's your unbuffed defense? What mobs were you fighting (or what player profs)? What damage were they doing before you increased your defense? What were they doing afterward (and how long did you wait, I've seen some lag on damage reduction after activating CoB, sometimes as many as 3-4 hits)? If you were eating Vegeparsine (+melee defense) were you fighting creatures/players using melee attacks? I was playing around with Thundercould (+ranged defense) last night and kept wondering why I wasn't seeing any difference, until it hit me that I was fighting Hurtons, which don't have a ranged attack. /doh. I've got a run of vegeparsine finishing up tonight, I'm going to be running some tests on that to see what damage reduction (if any) +100 melee defense has. CoB definitely makes a difference: from the description it gives +300 defense, and I see a roughly 50-75% damage decrease when that's active.

Determining a defense food's effect on hit/miss percentages is tough to do, since to fairly test it would require a lot of attacks both unbuffed and buffed. Probably 100 or so for each.

Ok you brought up a good point and get this -- I by all means have low defenses as a MLS, 4404EH 4404H, Now then not only did we use the same weapon with the same shot -- BUT wait and do your tests.. I was amazed to see that nothing I did made a base difference.

Sure My base defense is there but ITS nothing, and oddly I should have seen some sort of result from a shot doing consistant 540 damage, with clothes -- nothing not at all , Robe on NOTHING, in fact it was as if nothing I did made a difference.

Melee defense food should (stop some Melee Damage) am I nuts here?? NOT dodge?? nope that would be DODGE food.

So do your tests becuase mine all failed and Im by all means not newb or close to it, I was here for the freaking Beta... I understand mods and damage.

Somthing is not right in Denmark. Please PM me if and when you get some answers...

(It was funny too due to the MBH/Pistoleer did the same damage to me no matter if foods, clothes were involved lol. It was kinda a sucky thing to find out. Hell we both logged out in case we were bugged even. Then the funny thing was we did it with more people to make us feel worse lol.
