Hey, folks. Aleksander here, humble Chef of the Coronet Cantina. I'm looking for starter players, preferably Artisans (since you can Survey), who aren't using any lots right now.

See, I need to fill a large order of pet food for my friends who play, and need a lot of cereal. 135,000, to be exact. So, I'm looking for non-scammer newbies who are interested in getting a jump start on their artisan careers. Here is how it works:

I give you 10 Floral Harvesters, 12,000 power, and 14,400 credits. You then take those harvesters, find a place that is at least 75% cereal, send me the waypoint, and set them up to run for two days. 48 hours later, you go, collect the cereal, and bring it to me. I'll give you 20,000 creds then, and the harvesters are yours to keep. If you decide to keep delivering me grain, and I don't have enough people filling these jobs for me, I'll pay you 12,500 more creds a day for the product, and I'll give you the creds and power to run the harvesters on top of that.

I reserve the right to come check on the harvesters to see if you have them set up, and survey the land or cereal - if your point dries up halfway through the collect, you still get your money, and I only get what you made, but I reserve the right to check that you are telling the truth.

I promise you that I'm not selling the grain, or the treats, or anything like that. yes, I can hear the powergamers now - "OMG LOL HE CAN SELL THAT GRAIN 4 CA$$$H". But I won't. I just need lots of it, and don't have a PA to back me up (I play solo since most PA's I've seen attract less-than-stellar folk, no offense).

I'm looking for people I can trust to not screw me, and in doing so, get a huge leg up on their starting careers. I'm known around the area for being fair and helpful, and hope you will be too. Interested?

Wow, I'm an idiot. This was meant for Tarquinas server's board, but I spend so much time checking this one, I didn't check. Sorry, all.

The problem is, you can get screwed so easily. They take the harveters and the starting cash, and bugger right off.

I hate that. Still, not *everyone* in the game is a l33t-hax0r, you just have to stick to it and find nice people.

Anyone on Tarquinas willing to do this with me?

I agree alex, there are a lot of idiots playing the game, but I have met a handful of decent people who are honest, nice and intelligent. I'm sure you'll find similar people.

Don't give them the money, just tell them to add you to the admin list that way you can get the resources yourself and don't have to give them any money or energy.
I've been doing this with my brother for a long time so I know it works. I just never though of paying others to let me use their lots.

The 'admin' problem is this:

small problem: I have to truck all over the place to get things. Boo. ^_^;

large problem: Theoretically, I could take out the resources, shut down the factories, and say "OMG U LOSAR U DONT KNO HOW 2 HARVEST NO CREDS 4 U". I could screw them. I'd prefer to leave all the possible 'being mean'-ness on the little guy's shoulders - that way, if the deal goes sour, there's only one way to point the finger.

Buying lots off 'your brother' or 'your roommate' is easy - you can go to their house and stab them in the face if they screw you. There is, however, no way to stab someone anonymous in the face over the Internet (yet..).

I don't quite under stand why you'd want to "leave all the possible 'being mean'-ness on the little guy's shoulders". Personally the less risk for me the better because I know I'm not going to screw them.

And the problem with running all around the place is a very real one, it takes me almost an hour to go get the resources out of 18 harvesters god knows how long it would take if there were more or they were on different planets. Though could be better for you because their all mining the same thing, so pursoubly(SP?) all be in the same place.

The thing is, if they are going to screw you, they are going to screw you. So, take the burden off yourself. Put all the chips in their hands, and you have nothing to worry about, and no backtalk will occur when the CSR tickets fly ^_^

I don't think that right now the CSR's would bother themselves about a player being cheated by another player unless its through an exploit... they've got lots to do already with disappearing houses, items, breaking things(and entire professions ticket-flooding about well-known problems, which is just stupid). Being added to admin wouldn't help much either, as they can take you off anytime they want...

You could always ask for an item of some value from them in return, that once the product is deliverred after two days you would give back to them.

At the moment I run 21 different harvesters basedvaguely near to3 different cities(2 different planets), in 6 different locations... it takes a while to collect all the produce .

Or you could pay over a peird of time as you make money from the mines. That way if they remove you from the admin list, you simply stop paying them. Of course if you have mines from lots of people it could be quite a headache rember who to pay and how much.

Actually, I just prefer leaving it all in their hands. If they are going to cheat you, there is nothing you can do, and no 'item of value' a new Artisan carries is worth 14400 creds, 12000 power, and 10 farms.

I've had four people take me up on my offer, and so far, none have screwed me. Yay!

well it is possible to get a bad reputation in this game, since the galaxies are rather small, less then were even in my graduating classes, all 3 of them lol. And most people are not going to go to the trouble of redoing a character everytime they cheat someone.
I still remember people from the first week of playing who were rude, obnoxious, or mean.
