Thread: cafe,instead of house
Hi ,I was thinking it it would be nice that buildings be more than just houses.
It would be nice if a little store cold be built,or a cafe---were you room would be up stairs or down, and the main floor would be all open so people could come in shop, move around and not get lost or to cramped.
A small tavern would be nice as well, were we could use the robot bartender, this wouldnt be a canteena just a little tavern.
I would rather have my own shop than house any day...
Thanks,

Dakar just plagerized my post and copied it as his own to the SWG main forums, nice set of moral and ethical values Dakar.
Go screw yourself Sai.
I hit the quote button, submitted and it came out without any quotes.
Just the text.
You must have the mentally IQ of a six year old to run about screaming over this. Overwhat I explained repeatedly to you.
I made my medium house into a cantina by setting up a vendor and making it public. I have entertainers show up and perform for the masses. It's a lot of fun.
What I would like to see is the ability to restrict access to parts ofmy house. I have my "stockroom" with my food crafting station and resourses.I also have a little apartment in the upstairs room. I'd like the ability to "lock" those doors if I wish. I consider my stockroom/crafting room to be "employees only" but in reality it's not because anyone can go in there.
How about alittle delicatessen would be aweseme. I also notice that most cities are filled with huge empty buildings that have doors but no rooms.
It would be awesome if you could rent a place IN the city.
Plus it would make desolate areas of the city more populated if they contained more user owned stores and apartments rather than just random NPC's running around.
The only down side I currently see is that lag would probably sky rocket, but I dunno, perhaps there is a way to regulate what graphics are loading when.

Notice how you changed the wording to say "How about a little.." instead of what I had originally written, "I agree, since I don't really need a house since all they do is cost money, but a cute little delicatessen...", so you changed the beginning of the text to sound like your own, but then left the rest. Don't be upset because I caught you, instead you should apologize.

hi
Obivously you have a bone to pick with me.
I explained that I quoted you.
I did change the word cute.
You will note in all my other posts I always refer to the other person.
So now send me your address and if we live close enough....
...We can "talk" in person. Otherwise piss off.
However I get the feeling you are simply a board troll.
------
Dakar are you trying to threaten me in real life?
Dear Sai...
Lets keep this bumped till the cows come home since it keeps you in the limelight..
I explained myself repeatedly.
I quoted you and reworded the text to fit the thread. Its that simple.
I can help it if you are a board troll...
Have a good day ![]()
1) Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize the qoute function wasn't working properly.
2) Hmm the quote function seems to be broken, sorry about that.
3) These forums are crap, I tried to quote you but it didn't work.
Notice the use of the word "sorry".
Either one of those would have been received well, however instead you would rather attack me calling me a "dribbling moron", a "6 year old", a "troll", and you send me an offensive private message trying to threaten my well being in real life. I think you should re-evaluate how you handle situations in your life, this kind of behavior could lead to serious problems later in life.
in beta i asked about this, and the devs said that it is a planned feature to eventually be added, to allow different rooms in houses be given different privacy settings, and ownerships/admin rights (once they get those working at all in the first place lol). That way you could have like a large house bought between a few friends, leave the main room open for vendors/cafe/etc, and then give all three friends get admin rights to a room of their own each. Would be pretty cool. also imagine for a PA, you could turn all those pretty much worthless rooms each into a shop of their own, that the PA's crafter could decorate/use as they saw fit.
Again, in beta the dev response was that this was something they were planning on implementing some time in the future, but you never really know. i'd assume something like this would be bundled up with the Player Cities patch.
