I'm not sure if this is general knowledge, but it was new to me, so...
I was doing some experimenting with Corellian Ale today, using the same Corellian wheat along with regular Alcohol, then Sullustan Gin, and then Kylessian Fruit Distillate. I was expecting some increase in stats when combining with the better alcohols, but I was suprised when Corellian Ale (Alcohol) beat Corellian Ale (Sullustan Gin), both experimented to the max.
At that point I remembered I had experimented on the Alcohol. Then I made another Corellian Ale with experimented Sullustan Gin and it was much better than before. So...it looks like components that you experiment on DO carry their quality on to the final product you are making. Even though there are no stats listed on the components.

Hmm I have been wondering about that.
Anyone else have the same experience? I experiment on everything I am making (when not grinding) components included, so I haven't noticed the difference. but it is nice to know I haven't been wasting my time.

> For DA food items as components
I know Starshine Surprise quality has no effect on Sunburn. Are you also referring to dough and carbosyrup? I thought expermenting on these would make a difference.

I always experiment with components because I saw a difference, at least using dough and carbosyrup. I have yet to have much success in experimenting on chef components with 2 measly points to work with currently. I do not have Sunburn yet, so don't know about Starshines making a difference.

I've always found that expeimenting on the componetnts succesfully makes a better end product.

Anything that calls for a chef item as a component, makes a huge difference.
For DA food items as components, they don't seem to do anything.
