I’d like to have a complete list of Scout/Ranger harvested items that Chef’s need. Including what attributes are the ones that effect your final product.

Note. the attributes are the most important part of this list. I know there are some web sites that show some crafter information but I’ve yet to find one that tells me the attribute requirements. If there is a good one, please pass it on.

None of us is really sure what stats on hides are important. But we need good overquality. Bristley hide and Whooly hide are more demanded that other hides at tier 2.

Meat wise flavor, nutri and OQ are all important. Best meat for us is herbivore and avian meat as far as I know.

re: meats.. I guess it varies a lot like all the other resources (go figure) but I've found insect meat to be best for just the general purpose recipes needing meats (not the ones that require specific meats of course). It could be though that I have a good run of insect meat atm - I know the avian I've been harvesting lately has really sucky quality (in the 400s).

I think that the AlbinoWookiee is asking, something very similar to what I would be asking. He is probably a scout/ranger, and wants to start harvesting things from animals, and sell them specifically to chefs.

I am also a scout/ranger, but since we aren't chefs, we don't know the recipes you guys use. So if you make Meat Lumps. Does it require meat? any kind of meat? What is the percentage break down (Qual 66% Flavor 33%)? We don't know.

If we know what your recipes are like, then when resources change, we hunters can hunt, and check the stats on what we kill. We will then target the specific creatures, and specific resources, and bring these highly valuable resources to you.

If I go out hunting, and I could kill a dalyrake or a humbaba both equally well. But if I knew that the chef I'm friendly with needs Hide with Qual 66% Flavor 33% ratio, and that the dalyrake has that better ratio. I'm going to go out hunting dalyrakes, not humbabas.

If you want good resources, you are going to have to share the knowledge. Depending on how this thread goes, you can even include flora resources (as some scouts/rangers also are surveyors).

Some testing has been done on the experimental relationship to resource values. Basically food is influenced by Decay Resistance, Unit Toughness, Potential Energy, and Overall Quality. Different categories of experimentation focus on these properties in different proportions. From my knowledge, I would focus on Decay Resistance and Unit Toughness values. I hope this helps the scouts looking for the prized meat and hides for chefs.
