If i craft a food by hand and experiment the quantity, i may end up with 4 or 5 or 6 doses of the stuff for my 1 set of materials.

If i make a schematic out of it and stick it in the factory, I only get 1 dose for each set of resources, no matter what how much i experimented the qty to make the schematic. So using a factory costs you 3-5 times as many resources per hit of food.

I only use my factory for dough and carbosyrup now.
