Thread: has anyone ever tried this before?
well while making several different drinks i saw that they required minarals to make, however metels dont have potental energy or flavor do all u have adding to your drink is overall quality.
However i got a hold of some good radioactive power, witch has an oq of 900 and a potentail energy of 811 and i as able to make much better drinks than normal.
I am only a novie chef so im not much able to see how much this is affecting me and i dont know if it is that much better than normal, if someone with a little experiance would test tis out for me and post the results it would be much apreciated if it helps and is awsomely better then whoo but if not oh well i tried.

I did try that at one point, but it was back before the first big monthly patch, when resource stats had even less of an effect on food than they do now. I tried the same thing you did, on Starshines IIRC, and didn't have much of a difference.
What was the OQ of the mineral you were using before? I'm wondering whether the 900 you've got on the radioactive is making it look like the PE is making a bigger difference than it actually is.
well the oq on the other copper was in the 800 (im at school right now cant log and check) and the conductivity was 1000, using the radioactive i was able to make a 82 chard when ususally before i was only getting about 50 - 60 however its hard to determin if thats a good average because o my current low assymbly skill i seem to critcally fail in experementation more often than i succed

I've noticed other mineral numbers having undocumented effects on things like unit quantity.
I'm only in Dom Arts 4 right now, but I also used to craft meds, and Unit Toughness and Decay Resistance were important for those. I've done some drink experimentation with minerals that have similar OQ's but different numbers in those stats and noticed minor differences in the percentages for minerals that have those other stats at low numbers. I didn't have access to a crafting station at the time, though, so I don't know the exact effects, and nowadays if I bother to make stuff I use minerals that have all three of those numbers high.
It's possible that ALL the stats on a mineral are having an effect on the final numbers, but I'd play close attention to the decay resistance and it's effect on # of uses in particular.
If I bother to make any food again I'll play with this andpost what happens.
