Thread: Do factories give xp? uxp?
I haven't seen any xp from a factory run, but there may be some voodoo ritual to it that I haven't discovered (standing next to the factory, when the run completes, on a night of the full moon at 17 past the hour...) I heard that if they did work, they'd give 10% of the hand-crafted xp for each item (so doing a factory run of 100 items would get you the same xp as hand-crafting 10).
UXP isn't from factories, it's from people using your food. When someone eats the last dose of a food stack you created, you get 50% of the crafting xp. There's been some issues with this, like it doesn't seem to work if you're logged out or too far away from whoever's eating the food. Before they took the black-hole stomach away from pets, I spent some time grinding with a BE; she'd make tissue supplements and give them to me, I'd use them in a protato (giving her UXP), then give the protatos back to her to feed to her pet (giving me uxp). A couple of satchels to keep the trade window uncluttered helped a lot. This wouldn't work as well now, since pets will only eat if they have wounds.
Although you could be asking about uxp from factory created items, I'm not sure how (or if) that works, whether you'd get 50% of the full xp you would've gotten had you hand-crafted it, or the 50% of the 10% since it's factory created.
I'm a noob holocron chef. I know everything in this profession isborked right now. But I was just curious if factories were giving xp. And if so are they giving UXP?
Thank you powerful chefs of the SWG universe!
It is suppose to give 10% of the experience. I don't think it actually does, however.
actually, i think general artisan stuff gives u exp, but not chef items
so starshine suprise gives u exp, but not tatooine sunburns
I figure this is true cuz i have 27k exp from not doing anything in artisan for a month (but have been making Starshine for ever)
