I was a BH and now an going the chef route because a holocron told me so. Anyways, I'm not looking for a macro or anything I just would like to know, what are the best things to make once I get Novice Chef? I dont plan on selling anything or giving anything away. I just want to get master and be done with it. No offense to all u Chefs out there but this profession just isn't for me.

Thanks in advance!

I'm sure the Force would want you to make your own way through our noble profession.

That's the first acceptable Jedi Seeker chef path post I've seen. I'm glad you didn't come in here dissing our profession and berating members. With that out of the way......

Welcome:

Once you get into novice Chef my opinion is Wastril bread then Ithorian Mists. Be careful not to burst a bloodvessel in your hand. You have a LOT of clicking to do even if you finda "nextstep" macro.Goodluck on your Jedi Path.

I havea question for YOU though. I presume you have BountyHunter Friends......Do you think that they'll hunt you down and kill you once you reach Jedi or will they spare you because you're supposed to be friends?

At this rate, the holocrons might make enough people go chef that the devs think its worth fixing the professions

Either that or it's a cruel joke

blergh damned forum ...

If you do a search for macro in the ched forum, you should get some posts on getting through chef as fast as possible.

You are looking at 420,000 ish resources whatever you grind on, as the best we get is 2xp per resource used (pity we dont get 4 like smugglers & spice )

Good Luck.

Doubtful - BH usually have tons of spare credits, and like anything else crafting based, they are going to get more xp if they work in practice mode. On the good side, lol, maybe this will make a few more combat types understand what us crafters have to go through -- then they won't be so stingy in buying our products in the future (ok, so call me a **edit**-eyed optimist, immature and incurably green...)

I disagree that this will affect true Chefs/Merchants. These people will simply grind their way through then drop the profession altogether. I seriously doubt they will try to sell things.

That said, grind Wastril Bread first. Put your first box in Entrees I and grind Stewed Gwouch, which takes only water and any meat/bone/hide/flora. Then put your next two boxes into Mixology to get Ithorian Mists, which take only water, wheat and corn. Do Ithorian Mists until your fingers break and your harvesters decay into nothingness, then you will be close to Master Chef.

I'm in a similar position to the original poster. I also received a holocron that told me master chef. Where we differ is that I'm already a master weaponsmith, so I'm very familiar with the crafting (grinding?) process of this game. I will make sure not to disrespect all the work you masters have done by asking for a hands-free grinding macro as others have. And I further pledge that if I do sell anything, which is unlikely, I will do it at current market value and not undercut the true master chefs of my server.

As someone pointed out, the potential bright side to all this is that us holo-chefs might add to the crowd demanding overdue fixes for this profession. I hope it does work out that way.

Anyways, I just wanted to say hello, and that even though I'm just passing through, hopefully it'll be a semi-fun process.

Um yeah, thanks for the advice Thyacoleo. Really...

Anyways, thanks to the rest of you for ur comments. I was an armorsmith before so I can appreciate the crafting everything takes. I was lucky enough to save some money so harvestors wont be needed. I'll be able to buy everything that I need. Which also brings to mind, if any of you have bulk resources to sell, let me know. Send me an email in game and I will most likely take them off ur hands.

Thanks again, and yes, I really do appreciate what all u master Chefs/soon to be's have/are going through...

I am glad to see that more people can take a grand tour through chef:

"Hey, it took forever to get to novice, and now I need to grind hundreds of Wastril bread for the first box?!"

"Hey, food is actually poison and kills people. I'm sure the devs will hotfix this today or tomorrow!"

"Hey, the dom arts food is better than novice chef food!"

"Wow, at mixII/cookIV, I could stop here and make a good living without all the extra skill point costs!"

"Where is milk? Wedding cake is blank. Rumdrop doesn't even load!"

"Ding, I'm a master...wait a minute, my food is still trounced by doctors/smugglers/entertainers!"

"Hey, food is still poison. I'm starting to think that no one is paying any attention to us...and I can't sell anything anymore "

Welcome Holocron Chefs!

I am completely and utterly speechless. I honestly cannot believe that becoming a master chef is going to open someone's fs slot, and so I can't believe that someone else would believeit enough to become one... And that's all I have to say.

Good luck with chef.
