ok, I calculated it out and I only have enough skill points for one line in cooking, I was hopeing if someone knew which line would be the best to take, in case it matters I am a melee//Bio-engineer. I was thinking mixology. Oh, and also, which is less resource intensive?

I would wait until the re vamp comes out and you can see the new foods that are coming out. Although the testing is almost done, it still has a few missing questions and we do not even know if the DEVs plan on chaning things around. I suggest waiting.
