I was gathering some milk by taking ikopi destroy missions. Well after starting on one, it got noticed by a domesticated tusk cat, and got into combat. I still sat there merrily milking away, glad that at least now it wasn't moving (it's a bit of a pain trying to remain in milking range). The tusk cat killed the ikopi. I continued milking. About 20s after the ikopi died, I received a stack of wild milk.
Ewww, maybe it'll be a hit with the necrophiliac market...

I doubt it will work on a pet, I'd try but I only have a cheapo faction pet on TC, and I think he'd complain if I tried milking him

That's disgusting!
Kriles, what's your TC char's name? If I'm on there, i'll give you a hand and grab nipples with you.

Combat never happened to me, but I know you can milk while riding a mount/vehicle. You have to get off to mask scent, but the milking part doesn't require you to be off your mount.

My character is Patot Panak, usually around New Unity on Naboo.

I'm not really sure where the milk skill comes from. I had Novice scout and hunting II when the publish hit, and got the "harvest milk" radial menu option. Of course, you can't actually milk the animal unless you have mask scent on or are camoflauged, so it's pretty much a scout/ranger only skill.
Wait a sec. Can't rangers apply camo packs to other players? How long do those last? Maybe there's some hope for non-scout chefs.

it's kinda fun... when the creature is KDed it can't move our of your range >=) usually i start milking, KD them, then continue to attack. when the creatrue dies i stay until i'm done milking.
i hope they fix it though, it's kinda creepy O.o
