I simply don't really understand why so many people are soooo worried about not having anything decent. the people on TC have been good enough to post resource stats along with results...if you'll notice, most of the resources used, they well...don't have more than 1 or 2 stats over 600...and a good chunk at/around 300.

I don't know about most of you, but personally, I'd rather not make an item...than use that quality of resource (for sale purposes...not testing). try getting resources with those stats...and make BoH with it...and oh, no experimenting, since a lot of the testers didn't experiment and just reported base results....that nice 550 BoH...suddenly turns into a 300 BoH...vs. 250 on TC...thats not too bad. even if they did experiment...how many tc chefs have 12 points? how many live server chefs have 12 points? you can't compare 12 point food to 10 point food...it won't match up no matter what way you look at it.

many others have screamed that its a nerf because we're losing schematics...well if you need decorations...make them now...they'll still be around, and we're actually getting more artwork. SirVimes made it known before the revamp even got close to TC...that we'd be temporarily losing some schematics, no surprises there.

then other people say they don't want the revamp to go live until its had more time to test...the next publish...publish 6 (GCW publish)...goes live at the end of febuary...we have a whole month to go. plenty of time to test.

then theres the BE additives...yeah quantity, and effectiveness additives may look like the best...but maybe those filling ones...well need more testing. ok so it does suck that we need another professions help just to make something good...but give the TC people some credit, they're more optimistic than the chefs not on TC because they know...the resources being used...aren't very good (the whole DR being required bit probably caught even the well stocked chefs ofgaurd...so those filling values are likely skewed a bit)

I hope you are right about that Resource problem. i personally NEVER use bad quality resources.

loli grinded my way to Master Chef in Wheat with an average of 800 Quality

and yea. if the Devs. need a new system (cause they cant repair enough on the old) then give them a chance.

im not on TC but im optimistic.

With this patch i stand to lose 6 months of work on 4 separate accounts. Posted on the other board but i'll repeat here and you can see why i wont be renewing my accounts if these patches go live. this is copy pasted from my other post to these ones to state a few sad facts effecting me.

I have been what would be considered a power gamer in swg. I have 4 acocunts, 1 is master chef/musician. 1 is holo grinder on 12th profession and close, 1 is imperial doc/cm and last is imperial master tkm and rifleman. Should this patch go ahead lets examine what happens to me for a moment. Selfish yes but important none the less.

My chef. After 6 months of collecting the best resources in game for chefs my fishaks are the best on the server, i sell these out faster than i can restock them. I also am one of the only suppliers of glucose on the server. Also best quality on server. Atm i have over 50 crates of each of these, some 5-10 million in stock goes BUME. Gone. These best selling items are replaced with mediocre buffs that inadequately cover a variety of skills. In addition to this my advantage of having the best resources that are months old is gone, because all new resources need ot be collected. This is good and bad, good for aspiring and up and coming chefs cos we're all back on level playing field, bad for me cos i lose my advantage and am back on a level playing field. So my hard work for months is lost.

My holo grinder self explanitory. gooooonnnnneeee have to start afresh basically.

My imperial tka/rifle can no longer wear his armor or use his weapon or carry spice. After investing thousands of faction on becomeing a colonel (6500 faction) i can lose A WHOLE RANK for carryingwhat they call contraband??? I hardly doubt that if a stormtrooper was fighting the ewoks on endor with a better gun than he could otherwise use that he would be demoted. more likely he wouldbe promoted for being the best he could be. As for spices and other contraband. The imperials distribute spices in the books. In addition he doesnt have glucose orspice and fishak to control the rediculous hams costs on his weapons. So basically my rifleman is now useless. Without this char there is no point keeping its support char so thats the end of that too.

So in one patch i stand to lose pretty much everything i have worked for over my summer holiday break in the last 3 to 4 months. Completely off topic but thats 4 accounts that i will happily cancel unless this patch is reviewed. and i think i'll be better of for it. Is this a **edit** and a whine, it certainly is, this is sony at its worst. one would have thought they'd of learnt from their mistakes in everquest, one would be sadly mistaken.

-Jedi patch won't come in for at least 2 months. You've got plenty of time.

-It's not guaranteed that your old food won't work. TH said it was a bug and will be fixed.

-You can't travel around careless anymore in cities, which makes the game a bit more interesting.

You've gotta learn to adjust. After the patch, sell off any resources you can no longer use, become richer than you already are.

I was told by someone that TH had said it was a bug and would be fixed. Then I was told the same thing by three or four more people. I could be wrong though.

TH is a PR (or is it community relations) guy. he is not the one who develops the game, even though he has influence over them. I have been sending the bug reports to the guys who actually do the designing and coding. I am not worried that TH doesn't know about this bug because there is just too much stuff for one person to take in.
