From the schem post it says:

Vasarian Brandy:

2 alcohol from crate

20 fruit

20 berries

1 drink cont

1 med food add

Are these fruits/berries from anywhere? Or a specific planet.

Thanks in advance

Unless it sepcifies in the recipe (like Correlian Dom Wheat in Correlian Ale), you can use flora from any planet.

What stats are important on these? I'm new to cheffing and want to start collecting these ingredients.

Well, it depends on what you want to focus on. Each experimental category depends on different stats, for Vasarian it breaks down like this:

Filling: DR 75%, OQ 25%

Flavor (buff duration): Flavor 66%, OQ 33%

Nutrition (buff size): PE 66%, OQ 33%

Quantity: DR 25%, PE 75%.

I'm thinking that the best compromise would be to look for high PE, and Flavor, with OQ the next important one. Filling and quantity have pretty narrow ranges to experiment in, and they're always in whole numbers, so it can take 3-4 experimentation points to get an increase of one dose or reduce the filling by 1.

whats always been weird about vasarian brandy is that it says its from fruit and berries from Talus, but can have any fruit or berries. I guess its still gonna be that way.

Whats a normal markup on food? I've been doing some calculations and breakeven seems to be pretty high on this brandy, would people pay 15k for a crate of it? Or more?

Considering Angerian is going for 75k on some servers, I think 20-30k per crate of Vassarian will find a market...

One of the primary reasons for the price on fishak was the time it takes in the factory. Even running two factories together to make the aludium in one, the other Fishak, on a staggered start would stilltake two days to complete. ...also since you need two needed two identical aludiums, you could only produce <500 per factory run. This drove the price of fishak up more than anything.

The new subcomponents take a lot less factory time and we won't need to bother experimenting or (according to recent tests on the TC) even using quality materials to acheive the same results. This is going to keep the factory times lower and we'll be making more food...cheaper.

My understanding on the brandy is that we'll be able to experiment down the "filling" attribute to allow us to drink a large number of these for a boost that lasts for about 30 minutes. This is like uber muon gold. People are going to be drinking these things like it's water. IMHO, this is going to be an item that no one will be without. Everyone will be making it and it will sell cheaply. Of course, throw in some nice materials and a chef who knows how to cook...maybe slip some Bio Engineered materials into the pan and I think the sky's the limit.

One thing is for sure, you are going to start seeing who lives to make food and who makes food as a hobby in a big way.

Considering a crate of barrels takes almost 10k units of resources and some factory time, anything made into barrels will be that much more expensive. A crate of barreled drinks will most probably cost 50k-100k more than a crate of large-glassed drinks.

The price for animal resources is currently about 2x the cost of flora resources on Tempest, so BE additives will further raise the costs.

Ultimately the prices will be determined by how these changes affect the market. If the market gets much larger, the prices for GOOD stuff will skyrocket (per crate, probably not per buff) and there will be a lot more novice chefs producing lower quality stuff for much cheaper.

with Imperial Crackdown , spices might be harder to carry around from starport to starport.. brandy could skyrocket in price BIG time.

Well, depending on how expensive the bio product is, crates of small glasses should be fairly efficient and profitable if you're estimations are right. I'm a smuggler so I know how Muon works, it's about 3k per 25 crate to produce and a lot of people can get Spice 4 to produce it. The question is, will people get high enough just for the Brandy and flood the market?

I've also noticed that Large Glasses appear to be somewhat less profitable, not enough gain for the increase in resources over the small glass. Yet to work in calculations for the Cask and Barrel is still bugged right?

Still, going through resources there is quite a lot of berries out there with good Flavor and PE, if they are the important stats, then Brandy could be quite easy to make. Guess we'll see.
