With the chef changes, hologrinders are going to need different supplies and will be crafting different foods. Lets try to find a list of the best "new" foods to craft and what resources(and what quantities of each) are the fastest to use to get master chef. I personally am going to try to get master chef BEFORE the patch goes live

Here's what I think it's going to be:

Novice Chef: Soypro (80xp, 84 in practice mode)

to

Desserts I: Pastebread (160xp, 168 in practice mode)

to

Desserts III: Kiwik Clusjo Swirl (320xp, 336 in practice mode)

to Master.

All of those are made without components and with resources obtainable with harvesters. Soypro uses 10 cereal and 10 vegetables. Pastebread: 10 water, 10 oats, 20 wheat. Kiwik: 40 berries, 20 fruits, 20 water.

The entrees schematics use more components and/or meat. And the mixology line is right out due to the new container requirement. Although you might be able to make an argument for casks, they give 450 xp (472 in practice mode) provided you can get a steady supply of trim crates, and they change the xp award from General Crafting xp to Food Crafting xp (which may have already been done, haven't checked for a few days).

Novice -> Desserts I: 380 soypro, requiring 3800 cereal and 3800 vegetables

Desserts I -> Desserts III: 609 Pastebread, requiring 6090 water, 6090 oats, 12180 wheat.

Desserts III -> Master: 2036 Kiwiks, requiring 81440 berries, 40720 fruits, 40720 water.

What about either of the glass containers? Aren't those just plain gemstone? Wouldn't it be better to have just a single resource type the whole way up?

Glasses and large glasses are Dom Arts schematics, so those give General Crafting xp.
