Thread: Masters of the Mind Buff
Having just matered chef 2 days ago, and having spent almost a million credits on harvesters, grind materials it really is annoying that they are taking out the main source of income to help me regain the costs it took to get me here. Chefs are in short supply in this game, and I took it up as many of my friends were paying through the roof for decent food like Fishak etc.
I've checked through all the revamp food items and cannot find anything that comes near replacing it. With the imperial crackdown so close, and fishak going, players are gonna have a tough time running around with their crates of Muon Gold as its classed as contraband. Skill buff food simply isn't good enough to replace what little we had in the first place, as i've read many reports back from the TC confirming that they make little difference to make it noticeable or worthful of the costs of buying any from a chef.
With the increased resource pool for the new foods, and the more specific nature of them, I simply cannot see myself staying as a chef after this revamp. I struggle enough as it is with limited lots (even with friends helping out), and the long factory process times. The dev's really ought to realise that the majority of the players in SWG want to see a significant increase of some sorts straight away, and usually on their Stats, not for instance letting them harvest a few extra **edit**-bits off a creature for 10 minutes or so.
Fishak is the equivalent money earner for chefs that muon is for smugglers. It needs to be brought back into the fold. Even if you make it more difficult to make with specific planet resources, it's something the community cannot do without, and chef's need the income in a big way!
Well, I don't know how it got by me, Ive been tracking this chef revamp for a while, but Felbar looks awesome. +600-1500 mind buff for 30-60 mins with filling at 23. This has to be a mistake. If not, this is very, verynice.
I guess you guys are still Masters of the Mind Buff ![]()

you got the right stat for felbar...except that Felbar is only for Pets. u cannot eat them if you're not a pet =)
LOL. I was too good to be true.
"One question please, from a good customer. I know there is now going to be a digestion process, which limits how often one can eat or drink. No longer will we be able to eat right after a buff is gone (another nightmare to deal with). Does this also apply to pre-nerf foods?"
There are 2 possibilities.
1) They have a filling(would be in the 70ish range) so you can take 1 every 20-25 minutes or so and it lasts for 13ish minutes.
2) They have no filling and you can take an infinite amount of them.
I don't know about anyone else, but #2 sounds way too good to be true.
"No longer will we be able to eat right after a buff is gone"
Not quite sure what your referenceing there. All of the higher level all mind/action/health stat buffs are a minimum duration of 30 minutes. Therefore you will be able to take another right when the buff wears off and in most cases you can take more before the buff wears off.
There are obviously exceptions do this, but the main mind food buff is not one of them.

If you need a mind/focus/willpower buff you should see a musician/dancer. Chefs are in no way the "Masters of Mind Buffs." With the January patch coming down the road you are able to create a wide variety of buffs, not just one type. Consider yourself the "Jack of All Buffs" master of none.
Did you read my post. I guess not.
Walk into Coronet cantina with 40dancers and musiciansin it and you are lucky to find a master among them.
And I don't consider myself "Jack of all Buffs," since I'm not a chef. But, yeah, right, you didn't read the post.
Read post first, then respond. Don't respond to the title.
