heh i bet the title scared half of you into thinking i'm a holo chef
sorry to disapoint you but i'm not (unless i forgot something?)

anyway.... i plan on getting expert bartender first and was thinking about the experimentation line after that...... not sure though... any tips on what line i should master next? with a bit of luck i'll have my own cantina in the next week or 2 so i'll be hanging out there trying to bartend and sell some food.... so i really dunno which line would be the most fun to master next

If you are looking at opening up a business...a good path is mix 2, cooking 4, then mix 4, entrees 4, desserts 4. The reason is fairly simple...mix 2 gets you IMs to grind with...and of course sunburns. Our best sellers tend to be master level items (a few lower ones thrown in), but waiting until you master cooking 4 before proceeding allows you more experimentation points to make a better product...some may argue...but its pretty logical.

Now, you are just looking at the RP aspect or simply getting through to master, I'd go Mix 4, Entrees 4...those two titles are just too cool...then either cooking or desserts...of course by the time you master Mix and Entrees, you will probably be selling and want the points to experiment with...

I agree with Syke. Cooking is the most important tree to get to the top of. It will help with all the other trees. But the best recipes to climb with are in Mix 2.

They are right (well, that is my opinion)...I didn't go up the Cooking tree early and I'm regretting it now. My bf told me to do so in the beginning too and I didn't listen....sorry huni. I lacked the patience to see the importance of the Cooking tree...darn those new graphics in Novice Chef!

Though I LOVE desserts in RL and would have loved to have opened a bakery - I had to make a living first. I wasn't going to do it with just the dessert tree. As far as supporting your business - even if it is just to role play and not really make a profit - you'll need the basics. Grinding capability (Mix III with IMs) and the ability to make a good product(Cooking IV traversed) are sorely needed. Though you will have fun role playing and others will enjoy your role playing - you'll still need to provide a good product in order to get your customers to buy your food/drink so you can pay your rent, buy your resources, run your factories and compete with other chefs on the bazaar.

If you are selling along the way, I would go about it like this:

Straight to mix 2: Grab Ithorian Mists (grinding) and Sunburns (sales)
Cooking 4: So you can sell your Sunburns
Deserts4: Ryshcate and Ice Cream
Entrees 4: Vegehash and Bivoli
Mix 4: Ice Blasters
Master: Tranna Nougat Cream! And I hear there is some other stuff there too
