OK, before I hit "return" and send the post with no content, here is my situation....

I am deciding where to put my last 15 SP's to use. I have the scout tree (Exploration and Hunting) up to the top (For BE and CH).
I have column 4 on the medic for BE, I have Artisan only using columntwo for chef. My problem is, when I Master Chef and BE, I will only have 15 skill points left. I will have no combat template at all to go hunting. I could work up my last CH spot to be able to train mounting as a CH, but that won't do me any good with a max pet of say level 20 or so. What do you all think? Dump all combat and work on crafting, buying all animal resources? Dump BE and go after a combat template?

All I know is Chef is one thing I will NOT touch. My guildies may not be happy since they are exstatic about a Chef in the guild. This is why I come to you for help.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have enough to pick up 0010 tailor? Then you would be able to make your own Trim schematics. Other than that, you don't have any viable options

If you dump BE, pick up some Merchant so you can place your own set of vendors.

First of all, don't get only skills that your going to be bored with everytime you log in.

It is much easier on a chef if they are also a BE. BE food are basically the norm right now and therefore you need tissues. There is no better way than making them yourself. If you have a BE in your guild able to make schematics that is another option.

If you plan on getting a large operation going, there is no way your going to be able to collect all the meat yourself. Your going to have to buy some.

I do know I could never just have a crafting toon. Sometimes I like to craft and sometimes I like to kill anything that I see. If I had to give up one it would be crafting in a second. Being able to hunt or do anything with friends would be the priority. My chef has no combat skills at all and therefore I can't hunt with here. Crafting is something you do solo usually. It has its bonues, but most of those involve credits. Its always nice when someone compliments your food.

BE is a perfect compliment for chef, but as you have found out, it doesn't offer many other options. If you think you can live with that, and that is what you want to do, go for it. But realize that this is your $15 a month your paying, its pointless to be a chef IMO if your just going to be bored with it. You can buy tissues, its harder than being your own BE, but it still is possible. A TKM(or any combat prof)/Chef can make the same quality food as a BE/Chef, it just takes a little more effort. I would take the combat prof and chef any day, but that goes back to being a personal preference.

And like the previous poster said, I would go for Formal Wear 1. Maybe mask scent to get milk if you want to harvest it yourself.

I would do the Tailor skill to make your own trim.

I was thinking of a second account. Don't know if it is worth it or how to even impliment it. Is that an option some of you do as well?

I went with 2 accounts, but not everyone can afford $30 a month. It was totally worth it to me. It makes being a chef easier on me and lets me have another char I can do whatever I want with.

To actually get a 2nd account, you do the same exact thing you did for the first. You need to go buy another game create another account. Instead of logging in you just select new account or some button like that on the launchpad.

I guess it depends on what you enjoy doing. If you want to go for a pure money making, max profit, lean mean crafting machine, then go BE/Chef and pay a tailor to make trim schematics for you. If you really enjoy hunting, then pick up a combat skill and some scouting, harvest your own meat while you're having fun out there fighting, and work out a supplier relationship with at least one BE (preferably more than one). Or you could go with the two account option and have it all. No matter which template you pick, though, I'd recommend some surveying and enough business skill to have a vendor. Both of these are a minimal point investment and will make your life so much easier.

Personally, I'm master chef, master merchant, artisan 4444 (for max experimentation on artisan foods), tailor 0010, and a little bit of scouting. Only one account, which seems to put me in the minority of successful crafters.
