So I was thinking over the weekend that maybe there is a market for premade components. So would you consider buying your components in full factory runs (backpack of 40 crates same #)?
PROS :
Free up factories for product runs.
Free up lots since you won't need dedicated factories making components.
CONS:
Have to have available inventory space to buy a 41 unit backpack.
Costs more than making them yourself.
What mark-up would you pay? 100K for carbosyrup run?
Thanks for the input,

I doubt I would, maybe if it were 50k and the vendor were on the same planet or city.

I probably wouldn't as well.
Components just don't take long enough to make. The cost would have to be fairly low as well, probably to the point where its more hassle for you.
When BE tissues take 3-5 days, less than a day for alcohol or carbosyrup isn't much.
There might be a use for crates of casks, this is the one time consuming component.

Now I could see myself buying some casks, even full factory runs in a backpack.

Casks maybe, but 100k for 6k units of grind quality organics and a half-day factory run? C'mon.

I have to agree I would not pay for sub-componets. I generally rotate sub-componets in my factories even if i don't need them at the moment. Just to have a supply. And that more than fills my needs. Also 100k would force me to jack the price of my goods! Customers tend not to like that once they are used to a given price. Good idea though. Just the price is way to much!

Casks I would because they are good no mater what and you need to get the trim anyways, so you are usually buying that. Getting that final product is best. So a tailor taking a bit of chef can do well just selling casks.
