I tried making Brandy for the first time last night and could not get above 208 for 40 min.
I have the +5 chef apron and using pretty good tool and station. I have like 10 or 11 experiment points I think.
My main question is since there are no stats for Alcohol does the resouces used to make the alcohol effect the final product?
I thing both my berries and fruit were in the upper 700's for OQ, so I did not expect to see my results so low.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

hi mate hope this helps im also new to chef by a few weeks and the advice i had was that anything used in the food craft such as alcohol, dough, carbosyrup, etc etc, does not affect the overall qaulity of the crafted food only things with experimentation it affects.
another thing with your stats being low im guessing u are not using bio-additives here was my stats for my first batch of brandy
berries oq 800 ish
fruits oq 850 ish
+86 medium food additives (bio-adds)
and the rest was crafted using the lowest possible resources i could find
final stats were +424 40m 50 fill 18 uses and imjust the 10 pointexperiment chef .
hope this helps

Thanks, I just read thru the Chef Guide too. My head hurts about all the resource stat stuff and experimentation. My alt is working on BE now but will be a bit, just wanted to get my vendor started in the mean time. Guess I'll need to get some BE stuff. Anyone know a good BE without and Empty Vendor?
Thanks

For all sub-components like soypro, alcohol, carbosyrop etc. use JUNK resources.
Quality does matter at all on these and will not affect the outcome of your final product.

Why can't people actually PLAY their profession these days?? This "Master Chef" is asking a question that should of been asked from a Novice Chef. If you took a little time to experiment with your food, then you can understand your skills better. I'm just trying to help you make the game more enjoyable. Right now, I think you're just trying to pump out elite Brandy to make big $$$.

Everyone plays the game different. So everyone has a different view of what fun is. Your idea of fun may not be the same as his or mine. That said, I can't agree more with the other chefs above use junk resouces for you sub-componets. The cheaper the better. Also you need to find a couple of BE's that have a steady supply of additives. Good luck in the chef biz!

and what exactly is wrong with wanting to pump out elite brandy for $$$??? With as much as I have to spend on being a chef, theres NOTHING wrong with it. A lot of us probably even went chef because there is good money in it. Dont try to act all holy and innocent. Im sure you make the good brandy too. In this game, if you are not master, you cannot make any money. So its natural for someone to hit master and not know certian things.

Very good responce loonatik, Very good indeed. As for UniqueJedi's comment just ignore the rant. It is more the norm to grind to master and then "play your profession" then it is to play a novice as you gradually gain to master. The reason for this is quite simple. You'll go broke before you ever get to master doing the latter. Best to get to a point where your skills are viable and not just a block waste. Sad as it is this game is set for the elitests/hardcores and to try an compete in that arena below master is simply fool-harty. As an example I optained master chef and had no idea that barrels were broke. Seems this is a well known problem that is greatly over looked but needless to say had I not read it here I might not have figured it out until I wasted tons of time and material making them. Oh wait, I did.. *sigh* Point is ask away. Ask any question your needing the answer too. That is the point of this forum I believe.
