I wouldn't dwell too much on getting twelve points. Just make the best food you can and focus on building a customer base. If you're absolutely determined to get the extra points, it's going to cost you anywhere from 15 to40 million credits depending on your server and who's bidding against you.

If anyone tells you you have to have 12 pts to compete they're lying or they're ignorant.

Its true their is no reson to be a +12 pt Chef Im +11 pts and Its better quality food then most other +12 pt chefs..I try to use my points effectively also watch for what people are looking for stats ..

The extra 2 points won't really add that much to your food but it does add a little. The only reason to get the extra 2 points is if you care enough about what you make to try and make the best. 10 point food will sell, and it will still be good......but anything less then 12 will never be the best
