What are you making ? if it doesn't have stats like casks and alcohol then there won't be that option

I have a food station that doesnt work too. Placed it in couple different houses before i gave up on it. Just figured everyone gets a bugged one once in awhile and bought couple more.

not sure if this will help you...but try standing "in" the crafting station...
looks really weird, and doesn't seem like it should make a difference, but I know it makes a difference when theres multiple crafting stations in the same room.
as for whats going on...no clue, even if you're crafting artisan food you should have at least 6 exp points just from the dom arts line...7 if you're a human.

I am using a private +43 Food and Chemical Station, and a 15 rated Food and Chemical Tool. I am Using these in my own house. I am getting NO EXPERIMENTATION Points whatsoever! I have moved the station, picked it up and redropped it, tried different variations of the chem and food tool (2.6 - 15). I have no other stations in the house at all...just the one. I have even gone so far as to pack up entire house (it is a Corellian Small) and replant it and try again....no luck. I am standing near the station when I do this (have tried everything from 10 meters to 0 meters)...I get access to upper level schematics...but no Experimentation ability! AAAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!
If anyone else is having this problem please post...I will try and do this post on multiple forums.
(any ideas..PLEASE post as well)

We resolved this by taking it off planet to another house, and then using it there (worked fine); and bringing it back to the original location.

i got 1 that is stuck in a backpack been there for months now

I had been using a backpack hanging on the wall to store stuff and had that same problem with not being able to pull crafting stations or paintings out of it. I pulled the backpack into my inventory (maybe even equipped it) and was able to take stuff out normally. Something to try if you haven't yet.

I've also been able to get around the 'painting/craft station in a bag' issue by opening the bag and opening my inventory and then just dragging the item across to my inventory.
