I remember once upon a time factories gave out General Crafting XP. What I want to know is if they still do. I remember the devs adjusting it at one point.

Last I heard it was 5% or 10% of the original xp you would have gotten if you crafted by hand. But that might have changed since I've done a ton of "Generic" items and it didn't seem like I got anything. Also if it is true I think you have to own the factory and can't just "use" one of your buddies.

IF you are the owner of the factory, AND you stand next to it (or close proximity) then you earn 10% xp crafting during the run (all factory types).

That is a big resounding NO. It doesn't work. I own my own factory AND stood/sat next to it (5 meters) and got no xp from it at all. I /bugged it with nothing yet. The CSR's also told me you should be getting xp (though they were not sure the amount).

I was wondering, before I quit playin SWG 9months ago factories were had a bug where they didn't yeild any XP for a character. Do factories give you XP now when you use them? I'm asking because of componets like dough, alchol, carbosyrup, etc... are tedious to do by hand.

You have to be in range of the factories and they yield no significant xp, so its not a viable way to gain chef xp.

Nope, because it's not "you" doing the creating...back in the very early days of the game, you could, but that has been fixed.

Frist month or so the game came out you could be not anymore

It never worked quite right (was 10%). It's completely broken now.
