Thread: Ok, I'm really confused....

I made a batch of vasarian brandy about a month back, got it to 408 at 38mins, 50 fill, 18 quantity using casks.
I've just tried to make some more, but this time using barrels as according to the datapad says the adjustment is higher...however, I can now only make brandy with a quantity of 6 with the same stats as above - why is this?
As far as I can see I'm using the same ingredients other than the barrels, yet its far worse!!!
Can anybody tell me why this is? has some patch gone thru' that has affected chef (haven't been on very much lately, as getting severely p**sed off with this friggin' game), or is it the case that barrels actually DON'T give better stats than using casks?

I think I should've stickied this....
Barrels give the same benefit as a small glass (so brandy comes out with 6-10 uses, depending on quantity experimentation), and have been like that since the chef revamp back in February. I'm actually in the process of trying to find out the intended use for these things, and what (if any) plans there are to fix/modify/remove them.

Thx for coming back to me so quickly, very much appreciated...
So I was better off sticking with casks, of which I've dropped Tailor thinkin' I'd be better off with barrels - well done SOE, you bunch of useless f**kin' t**ts, if there was ever a reason for non-voluntary euthanasia it's these people!!!
