Greetings and salutations fellow chefs.
I have a question.
In the large scale of things what is the difference between two brandys with the following stats.
Brandy #1
+410 to stats 42 min fill 49 uses 18
Brandy #2
+408 to stats 41.30 min fill 49 uses 18
While both not Super Uber. they are good brandys. Yet the Masses think that they are crap. However they sell well on the bazzar as single units.
Part of being Chef is to educate your customers about the "GoodStuff" vs a Fast Food Variety....
When Im out hunting PVE critters.. for meat/hide...etc... I dont need a Hard core food... I might make a plain synthsteak or a travel biscuit. If were going to the deathwatch bunker.. Its a different ballgame.. I make my best and present it.. Same with PVP. Many 10 point chefs will whine that there is a gap with the quality of the food and I say to them.. No there isn't You just dont have a customer base..
I am a 10 point chef.. My guild supports me.. I put out a good product.. and for my cash.. I stock the bazzar 2 or 3 times daily with my items. I might not sell Mondo crates of Hig priced foods and make more money than God... but I keep above the 5 mil mark and pull in a few hundred k daily.. About once a month My vendor empties out (Usually after everyone runs out of items and needs to buy more) and I do very well.
I find that my niche in the chef world comes from variety. You can find brandy everywhere.. but I believe that I corner the market on Ormachek.. No one really makes it.. But I know plenty a Jedi that wants it. Try to find milk made items... No one milks that much anymore.. I do and I make sure the guys get their smuglers delight.
Just like anything.. Chef and Crafting is about creating opportunity and business. To many people believe that if you build a vendor people will come. It isnt the case. I go to a starport and keep product on hand and will sell out long before my vendor does.
Now I know that this is a rambling point post.. but if you take the time to think about the topics discussed.. You will see that noob chefs can sell product.. Many people will say that any bonus is better than no bonus.. Its a true statement..
How many times have you heard some one say..

Sorry about that.. I fat fingered the keyboard.
Think about what I said in the post.. The best guilds do things... the best Merchants work the masses.. The best chefs and the average ones too.. Can work it to.. Put a little moxy in to the profession .. It will go a long way..
Or. Just tell the devs that for your 15.95 a month (Or what ever we pay) you want the best weapon 1 mil gold and all the crap in the game handed to you on a silver platter because you believe that you shouldnt work and strive for excellence.
Thanks

The most important stat on Brandy (at least in my book) is the duration. You're going to want to get it as close to 46 minutes as possible. Even if you have to give up a little of the buff.
I made a nitche selling different kinds of foods as well. People love my 23 filling Thak
