I'm a new bio-engineer and was wondering if chefs have any use for these?

I have a big old stack of them from a bioengineer's grinding so I use 'em, and I do not notice any perceivable effect. They are supposed to increase the food's duration.. maybe if they were super nice experimented ones they might add 10 seconds.

They do have the nice effect of giving 150% uxp to the bioengineer who made them.

Until the powers-that-be increase their effects significantly and allow them to be made in factories (as our soypro or protato or whatever is usually made in factories so we need identical ones), I would not bother to do more than give them away for exp.

The strength supplements or whatever they are do have their stat effects added to the food - if and only ifthe food already has that effect -so those are a little more useful, but also not outstanding.

I use the duration ones and they add 4%, which really helps on some of my recipes.

I'm a BE/Chef on Gorath. If you're a BE, I'll take your supplements off your hands. Then you'll get some usage exp. (I wish I still got UXP from using my own components...talk about the dumbest 'balance/nerf' for artisan class)

this is a display bug. they actually DO affect the end product, but only by a small amount unless it was a Master BE, and you're a medium level chef.

probably needs some balancing though ot make it more worthwhile.
