Thread: Are factories worth it?
For later schematics you need a factory for identical components.
I also use one for making all my components... less work for me. Of course this is pointless if you're using a fully automated external macro, but that's against the TOS, and bannable... So I hope you're just using an internal macro to save some keypresses
oh yeah
it's a completely legal macro i actually got from this forum
just saves me from having to hit enter like 50 times..hahaha.. i still put in resources myself.. it's quite nice!
but.. what is this about the experience dock u get for using a factory instead of doing it by hand?
and can't i make identical items (like for the tatooine sunburn that will support me 4 ever
) with a regular crafting tool?
also, i am a novice chef with a friend who is a architect.. he's gonna give me a fair price.. but i have a large house and only 4 lots left. Wouldn't these lots be of better use with 2 large harvesters (wheat and grain), 1 medium water, and 1 large gas harvester?? That way, i can make tatooine sunburns and Ithorian Mist for grinding... is this a good idea? i figured i would need a factory later, and it's a good price, so i figured it'd just get it now.
anyone think this is good?
I live on factories. Outside of the bodaciously rich people who demand their Sunburns in crates, I'm constantly running 2-3 factories making base alcohols and dough/puk/etc.. I just like being able to experiment the crap out of something then reproduce 100 identical units while I work on something else. Keeping the shelves stock is actually quitea bit of work.

I think he just meant that factories are like macros... you just don't have to click while it makes all of the stuff for you ![]()
I use factories for making pet treats in crates. My biggest sales come from my Pet Packs, though I was getting tired of making the packs. Now I just run a factory and put the crates up for sale... much better IMHO. I can do something for 30 minutes while it runs the schematic.
Of course, I did run across the bug on factories, so I can only run one schematic before it flops ![]()
no... it's a macro
here's mine:
/ui action toolbarSlot 17 (this is a food crafting tool on your user interface bar. the number 17 reflects which spot i want to use. play around with it to find out where the spot where your crafting tools are)
/selectdraftschematic 22 (wastril bread..
this is the hardest part, because this is mostly guess work)
/pause 5 (this is where you manually enter the resources into the tool)
/nextcraftingstage ( advances...)
/nextcraftingstage ( advances...)
/createprototype ( advances....!!)
/createprototype (creates item...)
bang!
there ya go
i can make a pretty good amount of material myself with 4 crafting tools and a good macro
can i make more with factories?
are they worth it?
