In looking at the BE profession I see a Micronutrient (sp) that has a + to duration. That is the only one I know of. What other optional componants can chefs add to their foods?

I think that might be the only one.

another testament that neither BE nor Chef was remotely ready when the game was launched.

There's a whole "Tissue" skill branch that BE's get that seems to be used only to create optional components for food suppliements and tailor cloth. The only ones I've seen are the Micronutrient (% increase of duration), and the Bio-strength (pluses to red, minuses to green).

There's a list of all/most the accepted components on the Allakhazam website. Here's the link directly to the soypro schematic.

If you drill down to the tissue schematics, most have a user addition shown to indicate the effect. It looks like there are a couple of duration bonuses, and the rest are various combinations of plus to one stat group and a minus to another. So theres a +Health/Str/Con &-Action/Quick/Stam; a +Mind/Focus/Will &-Health/Str/Con, etc. I don't know who that Anonymous poster is who's adding those descriptions, but I like him/her already.

Oh, and there are going to be a few changes to the tissues (like removing the food additive that givesa bonus to Business Acumen) in an upcoming patch, so those descriptions aren't something to rely on long-term.

Useless.

Sorry for this non-helpfull answer, but the effects are doubtfull at best. Some say it works, other say it doesn't.

I think BE is getting some big fixes in the near future, among those some to their tissues (e.g. effect and factory mass production). Let's just hope the best for our cause.

Here's another overview:

Ohh, they definitely work. I have done a lot of testing with them and the bonuses do work. The problem with the system is that the components take a lot of resources, and so it's hard to find someone who will give them away/sell them cheaply enough so that they don't eat up all the low profit you make from the food anyway.
