Just remember that OQ is NOT everything in chef ingredients. Keep searching - there are high quality ingredients all over the place, they just tend to move faster, and not necessarily be in high concentrations. Eventually, I found that the most time/money efficient way was to find a mining guild and work out a deal to purchase larger quantities of resources on a regular basis at a discounted rate.

Hi fellow chefs!

I just hit novice chef, and along side the grinding i want to start collecting some high OQ resources. How do i find them? I've tried searching on different planets with no luck. Is there any tips you can give me?

Yeah, but most miners are only interested in minerals and don't care much for flora (unless it's Lok Wild Wheat for docs or so).

How to find them ? Searching. I visit all starter planets (for travel expenses reasons) every other day to check out what's new and place a harvester if I like it. But what I find depends on luck. Don't expect to get all top notch stuff you are looking for at the same time. Today it's tubers, tomorrow it'll be wheat. Grab as much as you can while it's there.

If you have searched all planets and have found none, my only advise is: wait a week.

P.S.: Yes, all flora stats (except decay should be as high as possible), and minerals depend on OQ and UT (I think).

I mainly find good stuff by pure luck.

For example, I stepped out of my house on Corellia, looking for corn as I will need it to grind Ithorian Mists in the future, and wound up standing on a 98% spot. Of course the corn was utter crap.

However, I noticed that there was also a 75% concentration of wheat, so I set up a harvester for that, too, since I will also need that for grinding. Come to find out, the wheat had 3 stats 900+ and the remaining 700+

Needless to say, I won't be grinding with it, but hey, it'll make something good later.

I would suggest making contacts with others who go resource hunting to cut your time. Sharing you finds and such. That super high qualitychemical might not mean much to you, but it might to someone else who knows the whereabouts of some killer berries. And so forth.
