Is anyone having reports of bespin port working the OPPOSITE of the way it's intended since the latest patch?
I suppose it could be a coincidence, and I don't have enough bespin port on hand (nor the resources to make more) to test it more thoroughly, but when using Bespin Port while crafting droids (I'm also Master Droid Engineer), I got horrible results (moderate success, success). Without bespin port I got consistently great or amazing successes.
I suppose it could have been some horrible coincidence and that the bespin actually saved me from two crit fails, but I'm now really gun-shy.
If no one else is seeing this issue, then I'll chalk it up to crummy luck.

Hm very strange still been working fine for me, take me about 3 ported goes to get a amazing success before and after the last publish, it could just been crap luck mate.
Tho of course we'd more than 2 instances to make sure.

Indeed it could just have been crap luck -- or it could be a bug related to Droid Engineers and not to crafting in general (is that possible?).
I wonder if anyone has enough of the stuff laying around to do some testing. On Sunrunner we haven't had a decent spawn of Tat resources since I've been a chef, so I can't make any worth making and am down to my last few flasks of stuff I bought from another excellent chef on my server way back when.

i tend to get more amazings when NOT using bespin port, since the patch.
I craft within a research center of course.
So i simply stopped using it.

'port only adds about +10 to your experimentation so even if it was giving you a negative you should hardly notice it. I've never thought this food is worth the cost to make. I'm not sure it even stacks with the research center or force crafting, but some people swear by it so I sell it /shrug.

I'd probably just write it up as bad luck. Do you have any other experimentation bonuses other than SEAs(research center, Force experimentation)? There have been some reports that Port, city specialization, and Force experimentation may not be stacking, although with the randomness of crafting it's hard to get a solid test case.
Although, when you experiment with port are you spending the same number of points as you are without port (when you get mostly great successes)? When I'm crafting, I usually do a first big experiment (6-8 points) with port, then use up the rest of my points "naturally". Even with Port's bonus, doing a bunch of points at a time is still riskier than doing 2-3 points (which is usually a "guaranteed great" as Master).

Thanks to all for responding. Crafted today using port with no weird results, so I guess I was just having a bad day.

over a 3 day period i used 2 cases of the stuff, got poor results with it, 2 days later over the 2 day period i got way better results without it

when crafting with my jedi, i must say that i don't see any advantage with the forcecrafting (have both force exp and force ass) when using both bespin port and crafting within a research center.
i rarely get an amazing with the jedi.
but as i said, i get more amazings without using bespin port with the chef... so i stopped using bespinport.
Another thing i have noticed along with others in my guild, that when the crafting lag is heavy (during peak) it's a lot harder to get amazings.
When i craft in the early hours of the day...i get amazings quite often. seems like the longer the "experimentation menu" is taking to actually do the experiment (after you click experiment), the less chance you have of getting amazing.
i've tested this quite a lot... and i have stopped crafting during peakhours because i have to use 20+ attempts just to get 1 amazing. but in the mornings i only have to use 5-10 attempts.
Since i haven't got any way of confirming this other than the tests i and my guildmates have made, it can't more than speculations.
anyone else done any testing about this?
