Supply vs demand. Alot of times, players dont know what different foods do....they just know the ones they use, or those they are told about. So in some cases...the food product is really not useable to most players....or they arent well enough informed of its possible benefits.

I do admit that only about 20% of the craftable items in the profession sell...but on the other hand, Ive played other professions (crafting) and while they sell wider varieties....they dont sell with half the success or profit % on thier items, so I guess we can be happy that what does sell...sells very well.

I was surprised that over the last week at least 50% of my sales have been for non mind foods and not bivoli. 50% of the number of crates sold, not credits as thats a little harder for me to track.

People buy what is useful. At the moment that is mainly mind foods. With 20ish foods on my menu, I still sell a good number of the other foods. Making a run of an odd food isn't an issue because I realize that even if it doesn't sell really well, its not like I'm going to be tieing up factories with making more every single week.

Should try advertising on the forums, many foods (such as exo-protein waffers) aren't known about. I love those things: 5 filling, yet so delicious!. I also love Parwan Nurticake, arguably my favorite food.(took about 25 uses of the food before I figured out how it works, eating too soon, ect). Air cake isn't bad, nor is the melee or ranged defense foods (+30 squad leader, +25ish food and air cake/pie makes for some nasty defense when stacked upon 125/125).

that's always been my attitude, too.its a very satisfying feelingto know that when someone says 'do you have x' you can answer with pride, 'certainly, i have every item available'

i've never advertised as business has always been good, but i think you are right - credits are irrelevent but it would be nice to get some of the lesser known foods into circulation, there are some excellent niche foods

thanks!!

...that despite having essentially every item available to chef's on my vendors, that the only things that REALLY sell are brandy, canape, ahrisa & synthsteak?

ok, i do sell other stuff, bespin port & pyollian cake, havla & bivoli, but it's about 15% of my business.

i have such a wide selection - at a very reasonable price - and i seem to keep putting them back up for auction, time and again.

sorry, just had to vent

People use what's useful.

I got used to that fact along time ago, it doesn't matter how well priced or how good some of your niche foods are, they'll never sell aswell, just because they're not as useful.
