Thread: Which foods can use smaller bonus additives?

I could have sworn that I read about a (few) foods/drinks containing 81 BSN's that would still yield great food. Does anybody have a list of the foods that aren't as affected by the lower nutrients? I have a bunch of them that my BE gave me to play with, and I'm wondering if they can be used in anything where the numbers aren't as crucial.

Thanks in advance, all!

With decent resources, you could easily get Havla to +100 Heal Reduction time.

Also, since the range of the nutrition bonus on Pyollian Cake is so small (5.2 to 8.4), an 81 BSN might give the same result as a higher one.

All mediumfoods (tier 2 and 3)are affected by the smaller additive.

Ah ha! Thank you. I thought there were a couple out there that I could spend these nutrients on. Thanks, tike!

I would argue that almost all the defensive foods can use lower nutrients. If they cost a lot cheaper there may be a bonus in +16 over +17 in some food for example. Just be nice to your customers and offer it a little cheaper because it was cheaper to make.

Havla is one of the exceptions because there is basically a top level cap, and it isn't capping because of resources. No other food with the exception of smugglers delight when it gets fixed is like that. Then it becomes a decision of whether or not +1 in a buff is worth the higher additive. Is +21 Defense vs Dizzy really worth the better additive if a 80% one gets a +20 buff? Thats a personal preference though and comes down to your own choices.

Is it really not that much? I have always used 87%, but they cost 40k a crate on my server, and if I could use 80% on some of my foods, it would save me at least 800k per run.

Ooh, zoinks...I missed part of that. Does smuggler's delight have a cap at 100% (so that 81's can be used) or is there something wrong with it currently? If I could get away with lower additives in that, I'd be in heaven!

Well, even if it does get fixed, it'll still cap at 100%. I mean, you can't reduce the downer any further than 0.

What Numen was probably referring to about it "getting fixed" is that currently it doesn't give the reduction bonus if you hit 100% or above. You get the "no longer under the effect of the downer" message immediately after the spice wears off, but the stats remain reduced until the normal downer period ends. 99% appears to be ok (although I admit it's been a while since I checked).

Ahhhh, thank goodness I didn't quite hit 100 on the last batch I made then. lol. That would have been a very rude awakening for my customer and for me!

Thanks, sciguy. /thumbs up
