Ok....sounds like there are a couple things going on here.
First, the number of uses is tied to the type of container you are using. I am assuming you are not using a cask. Casks are harder to make than the glasses, but they give more uses as well.
Not sure what schematic grinding is, so I am going to skip that one.
As for the other stats of the brandy, it would help to know the stats on your fruits, berries, and BE additive. If you can post those, we can start with that.

ok cool. ive been using large glasses so thats one problem. also, the stats on the berries and fruit are as follow:
Fruit:
DR 405, FL 327, PE 1000, OQ 853
Berries:
DR 308, FL 821, PE 980, OQ 996
BE additive is 84 power but I can get them as high as 87
BTW who makes trim? tailors?

With the low DR on both resources i assume the brandy comes out at 51 fill? If so that is a problem, as you have to put 1 maybe 2 points into filling to sort it. Also the low FL on the fruit doesn't help much, its just a shame as the PE/OQ on both are superb.
The only real way to improve the brandy would be is to drop some of the nutrition so you just hit 400, and then put more duration in to make it a more balance drink. Even with the stomach changes people still look for 40mish, so its best to get as close as possible. And make sure that its 50 fill.

Think he means 50 or lower.

Correct, 50 or below is essential for brandy.

Yep. It allows you to stack two brandy... Anything over 50 doesn't.

Best I can get is +412, 49 fill, 35min, 10 uses. I'm kinda new to this stuff so any suggestions would be great. I'm 11points in experimentation. I've heard there was something called schematic grinding? What is that and how does it work? How can i get it up to 18+ uses?

i think with schematic grinding you mean when people keep trying to make the scheamtic over and over again to get the best stats you can with amazing successes

You're confusing casks with barrels. Barrels are broken.

Okay first off though the PE and OQ is great for those, the DR of both is bad, and the FL of the Fruit is abhorrent. I'd look for something if you can find it on your server with at least 800s in 3 if not all 4 stats ( we have them on Wanderhome for berries a spawn just a couple months ago, did for fruit a long time ago but not anymore...and most everyone has run out of the good fruit )

900s in 3 or 4 is even better. Order of importance to me is PE, OQ, FL, DR.
As stated currently your fill is probably 51....generally needs to be around 49 ( 50 is okay but sometimes there is a bug where you can't take the second sip immediately )
BSNs go up to 90 actually, however I've not seen any 89s or 90s on Wanderhome. 88s are found now and then, 86 seems to be about the normal quick selling BSN ( with 85s then 84s below that) Find and get you some 86s.....it will make a difference.
Trim is made by tailors, the tailor needs at least Field Wear 1.
Schematic Grinding is where you make several schematics until you are happy. For us chefs it is important to get a great or amazing assembly in the assembly part of the schematic ( there is no difference truly between the two but you need those....to many ignore the assembly success rate and don't realise it affects your base non experimented stats. )
Make sure if you don't have a assembly suit to use pyollian cake to ensure you get those greats or amazings.
Next be sure to use Bespin Port. If you experiment 7 points in one line and get an amazing success it is just like putting 8 points in it. Look over what you want with your end product, you might need to make a few schematics to see how power, duration, fill come out until you are happy.
