The value of Mandalorian Wine just shot through the roof, since it enhances the recharge stats. We can only hope they'll fix Garrmorl and Won Won, unless they considered them "fixed" now.
I guess we pin our hopes on defensive and offensive combat foods.

Sounds like there will need to be a miracle demand. I can't imagine the only money maker for chefs will carry through this 'upgrade'.
Brandy should be worth.... nothing?

Yeah, I think Brandy will basically be worthless unless it's converted into some sort of all Willpower drink and such a drink ends up having value. (Glad I hadn't made a run of Breath of Heaven yet.)
However, everyone is used to playing with big buffs. I'm guessing food will continue to stack on top of other buffs, so we might still have a market for our stat enhancing buffs that are left. But I think the offensive and defensive foods look more promising as steady income.

Thats if they acutally Fix the food. I think we are going to see a problem.
Brandy,Ahrisa,Verrcupti, and Canape are some exampes. It will be hard to see exactly how it will affect us, we have all saved over years of resouces turnnig to certain foods for certain reasons and demand and all that we have invested millions of resouces might just go out of the window.

Why am I the only one that sees it.
This game is being turned into a Combat Centric system.
Crafters are going to the CURB after the CURB. Not right away mind you, however we will see a mass exodous of crafters after the CU hits.
My take is that the game is being consolidated solely for marketing and infrastructure reasons.
It is fairly obvious that this game has gone beyond the capabilities of SOE to manage and that is why so much stuff remains busted.
The CU will force many non-combat players out and make room for all the combat crazed players that buy the game when the newmovie hits.
It is not a mistake that the CU is totally altering the foundation of the game play and economy.

if you are not a combat player right now, if you really decide to drop Chef go combat....dont just leave a game u love because your profession is useless, unless that is the only reason you enjoy the game.... i know if i end up dropping chef I am going BH/Carbineer (wOOt i will kill u jedis hehe)

If I want to run around and just kill stuff I can load a FPS that does it much better.
I am in SWG for the crafting, the interaction, the management of my business. All my guildmates who were pure combat types, only interested in combat, burned out months ago and left for WOW or EQ2. There they will do the same thing, ramp their fairy-dust weilder to level 60 and then burn out again.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some combat as well, but without the crafting balance it would get old fast. If they sway this game too far one direction (the CU seems like crafters are taking a hit for the benefit of combat) then you will see folks jumping ship. Most people are not that forgiving when there are so many options out there.

I thought I was in SWG for the crafting. Then every harvester I ever put down became a camp ground for red dots and I had combat profs jammed down my throat. It slowly becomes a hack and slash and I slowly lose interest.
Another worthless food we made creds on, Bivoli.

84 Harvestors go to waste...10 factories to be burned....5houses with near 50million resources go decay...3 bank deposits with 8mil each of resources got churned out....
