Ok guys, this has been bothering me for a while now and I cant hold it in any longer....What is the CU going to do as far as chef modded clothing go (My chef suit 20/21) ?!?!?
I think this should be a good place to start with modded clothing discussion so please feel free to post anything to the topic!

Unanswered questions will do that, the Doctor forum isn't exactly pretty either...

I suggest gazing serenely at the cover of the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and if you're feeling particularly paranoid, use Peril Sensitive Sunglasses™. {so I'm mixing fictional worlds, sue me}
There are a few conceivable options:
1) Food Experimentation skill mods go away completely, invalidating all tapes for that mod.
2) Current experimentation skills will be changed, with sub-options of:
2a) Old tapes converted to new mods.
2b) Old tapes invalidated.
3) Nothing will happen to experimentation skill mods.
Considering this is a combat upgrade, which do you think is most likely? Doctor/CM skills might be an area of concern, since Blair's post mentioned medical crafting beingin medicand BE (and that is something being watched carefully by the corres and sandbox testers), but I think it's safe to state that I don't see any reason for chef skill mods (or weaponsmith, or armorsmith, or tailor, or droid engineer, or...) to be affected by the CU.
My rule of thumb: don't panic unless a specific statement made by a dev looks detrimental. A lack of information about a topic shouldn't be something to immediately worry about. Although for things like possible reduction to the chef menu due to HAM changes, it should be (and in this case will be) a topic we push for getting more details.

No matter how much information they release, we will always have more questions.
However, with the information presented so far, all I can see is that they have filled the majority of their customers(at least forumgoers) with dread and anxiety. Heck, even some hype would be nice. As it is now, it feels like they just told my combat character that he is going to have his legs amputated and it'll be fun, trust us.
I'm hoping that at least my chef doesn't get the nuke bat.

Well the change from Doctor to Bio Engineer if the skill is still Medicine Experimentation ( or whatever it is called right now hehe not a doc ) and they keep the name, then the old skill mods should still work.
I also expect that they will leave the Experiment and Assembly tapes alone for the rest of us, this CU is far greater than anyone ever wanted and they risk a great deal. If they alienate to many players, LA has the option of pulling the plug and getting someone else, which I'm sure SOE doesn't want to happen.
The truth is they are trying to get new subscribers by the massive changes, release of an expansion all to correspond to Revenge of the Sith. If industry statistics hold, they will get few new subscribers actually. Thus they probably should be concentrating on keeping the ones they have, and hopefully luring a few folks back to test it out again and hope they stay this time.
Personally in talking in game and reading here on the boards there is a great deal of anxiety and even panic in regards to the CU, even those that once were looking forward to it are having second thoughts after Blair's post.
Blair's greatest mistake was only posting a few tidbits. To Dev cries that there are more docs ( Tiggs ), apparently none are considered for release since they haven't been. And then statements such as Thunderhearts " Entertainer is outside the scope of the CU" when it is readily apparent from Blair's post that Entertainer and its elite professions will be greatly nerfed by this unless they get something else....
I think they might have caused less panic by releasing full information at the start of it.
