Thread: What does 12pt chef mean?

Kind of noobish yes, but I always see 12pt master artisan and 12pt chef, I'm just wondering what that means

It means through collecting attachments that add to the experimentation mod, these people have gotten at least +120 experimentation and have 12 exp points to work with when crafting.

At master chef you have +100 to experimentation. You recieve an experimentation point to use in crafting for every 10 points you have. You canincrease the totalby adding experimentation tapesfor a total of +125 before you reach the cap.Only +120 is needed to reach the max number of experimentation points in the crafting processsince you receive an additional experimentation point for every +10 you add. Some chefs claim that the aditional points past the +120 mark actually give you a better chance for amazing successes but it really hasn't been proved or disproved in my eyes so it is just up to you. I surpassed the +120 mark just as the latest chef patch came through so it was hard for me to tell any difference. Hope this helps.
Forgot to add that an master artisan gets +115 to artisan experimentation so you can reach +140 and 14 experimentation points with added artisan attachments. Just in case you see 14 Point Artisans out there and it confuses you. I believe they are the only ones that can go over the 12 points.

And just FYI, that's only Human Artisans (humans get a +15 species bonus to experimentation, which stacks with the +25 in tapes), non-humans are limited to 12 points. And it's not Master Artisan, it's 4400 (MA doesn't give any experimentation mods).
