Thread: is there any food to help prevent breakage of items your trying to repair?

someone told me you first need that profession ,like tailor to help repair clothes but then i heard alot

of people say different,but when i went through and reapaired all my stuff that needed repairing,alot of stuff broke!

is there any food to prevent this?

No, there isn't any food to help repairs.


Although the whole repair system is a little weird. First, there's repair tool quality. If you're really concerned for your item, try to find ones with high bonuses, although I'm not sure what the range is off-hand. Second, there's a persistent rumor that weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, and tailors get repair bonuses (although I don't know if this has ever been confirmed). Finally (if you're really trying to stack the odds), there's a Force Sensitive branch dedicated to repair (although I seriously doubt anyone's actually taken those).


On the other hand, "broken" clothing is just as wearable, looks just as good, and still keeps any skill modifiers. This is a regular complaint of tailors, though, so I wouldn't depend on 0/0 condition clothing sticking around forever.


If you asking about weapons and armor, though, then that doesn't apply. Those do degrade with lowered condition.

everytime I tried to repair comp armor it would break....

So after a little while I found that buying a new set was alot less hassle...
