Thread: Quick! I'm down! Kick me! Kick me!
Wow, I thought grinding Architect was crazy, but this takes the cake (or should I say Wastril Bread). I told myself in the very beginning that I would go all the way up the Experimental line before I started doing the fun new foods, so I could at least make decent stuff. Well, with one box to go, I think my corn would have been better tossed around Theed to feed giant Peko Pekos...
Yeah, I read the post from Q about balancing food in the game, but he didn't mention much about the experimentation with food. For example, my Wastril Bread I'm spitting out right now starts off with a STA bonus of 34. With my current seven skill points, I can get it to a whopping 80. I'm kinda guessing this is from using crappy grain/fruit (although it's above 500/800 OQ). If I shove all of it into quanity, I get an equally whoppingfour (thus gaining two more per combine). I so wanted the experimentation on food to be worthwhile...
So, is anyone else having these poor, poor results? Is there any hope that when I get those last two points that it will make all the difference?
(quick note -- if you grind Wastril Bread up an entire Chef line, it takes roughly 98,192 cereal)
I can easily double the effects of most foods. Wastril bread goes to about 130ish or 12 uses.
Anyone coming from a background of architect has no idea about grinding. Its the only non-grinding crafter profession. The rest all get to have grinding fun(some more than others)
The stats of the resources matter a lot in cooking. Certainly to a much greater extent than they do in architecture unless you are making crafting stations or something.
However, I will be the first to agree with you that cooking experimentation can be discouraging.
I'm only at Cooking 2 and on Wastril Bread I can get the buff to around 90 or get 9 uses per stack with the ingrediants I am using.
