The SWGChef.Com site... What is the purpose of the site again? What features did you want on there to make this site differant from all the others especially like http://www.swgcenter.com/ I noticed they have an extensive user inputed database of resource information... So what am I trying to accomplish again?? So I just kind of lost my way somewhere and need help finding it again...

Thanks,

I think it would be great if we could tie into the SWGCenter's database for our resource stats, in that way we don't have to duplicate work that is already done and have a larger base of users, chefs and non chefs, that are inputing values that will be important. Any high value organics and such should be highlighted by the server you choose to filter to make resource scouting much easier for the lazy. I'd personally scout them out though since I'm pretty sure my server doesn't get many entries.

The problem with average selling prices is that there are mutiple ways to calculate the final cost to the consumer. Some do it by the charge, some do it by the buff, some do it by the resource costs * overhead... so its all situational. To further complicate things pricing on each server is different due to the amount of inflation of credits. On my server the food business is very bad because there is not a large influx of baz natch credits and other exploitable credits. Also things are still early on and not as many advanced combat proffessions compared to the more established servers.

Prices will change over time as the devs adjust the economic factors / faucets and drains. Pricing happens baised on volume and demand. If you're goods aren't selling at a certain rate, you either have bad location, not enough advertising / awareness, or market saturation, or too high prices baised on the benefit in the consumers eyes.
