Aye, if there were recipes at each Tier that were actually worthwhile, then you could play the merchant game, selling the stuff you make and advancing as a by-product.. Then you'd probably take around 3 months, which was the devs stated target for mastering an advanced profession. It's a similar problem that weaponsmiths face, the stuff they get at novice is barely (if at all) better than a well experimented CDEF. By the time they get there people are already certed for, and demanding,weapons that can only be made by a master, which just gives them impetus to grind.
Weapons are just borked. A novice marksmen off the shuttle practicallycan usea master quality weapon.
I became a novice chef a few days ago. So far I'm selling all the crummy food I can make.I also put up a few domestic arts items for better money generation. Hopefully the entire profession will see its food adjusted to make it both more worthwhile and fun to sell.
