I have a second character that I wanted to use as a crafting character and support my other.
I am almost Master Doc, and just picked up Novice Chef last night.
I'd like to have this, Master Doc, Master Chef, Artisan 0-4-3-3? What do you think?
I would only have a couple extra points left, but would like to be able to place a vendor.

I think with business 3 you get the big boxy vending machine or the droid that looks like a leftover from a napalm attack.

What about Business 4? I'd like to be able to sell things, but I don't have many skill points left over.
I dont want to give up Master Doc, because I'm almost there and I'd like to Master Chef.
Any ideas?

well lets see.
base professions are 77skill pts to master. Elite profeesions are 63 skill pts to master.
master medic 77pts + master doc 63pts = 140
novice artisan and dom. arts 4 = 29pts
master chef = 63pts
business 3 = 12pts
total = 244 of 250 pts
you have 6 left
adding these to business 4 only allows you to get rid of the really ugly little vendor and a more streamlined machine.
Really dosnt change much and leaves you with 1pt left.
However having a vendor is a great thing for supplies and stockpiles of your finished products. It keeps you from being a chef peddler so its a good thing. However you'll still have to go to the city and hawk your vendor to get people to go to it and become familiar with it. If you scrape up another 17 skill pts you can get advertising 3 in merchant and have your vendor registered on the planetary map which will allow people to see it in the dropdown list when searching the planet for vendors of your type. I had this with master architect. then dropped it when I switched to chef and regretted it. I got It back right away as it adds a certain percentage of base sales that you can rely on.
If you intend on being a merchant advertising 3 is a necessity. Novice merchant will also allow you to get a npc (random race) vendor that adds a touch more professional look to your business (although the females which I always choose always have fat rear ends which I'm not too happy about).
