I was lucky enough to draw Chef as a holocron profession.
I was making Soypro and got 80XP. But when I ate the Soypro, I got an additional 40 XP.

Hrm, soypro is a component, and not supposed to be edible, can you test again to confirm please ?

Oh, no, this is known...even in SciguyCo's faq on grinding. You can eat any sub component for 50% experience, and because they are sub components they don't have any filling and you can eat as much as you want.

yes soypro gives you 50% extra exp if you eat it and funny thing is ya can eat as many as ya like as they dont fill ya up lol

Yet another wonderful addition to the chef patch. A creative person could master chef with zero effort in very little time. Lets just give Master chef to everyone. Maybe then the food market will stablize then completley plummet because there will be 1 chef for every 3 people. Was this noticed on teh TC and did SOE actually let this make it to live knowing this?

Considering one would have to make and eat 6,826 or just eat 20,478 of them to master chef, I think it's probably a nonissue. There are much easier, quicker ways to grind to master.
