I finally grind my way to novice chief and look around for what I need to continue the move up the tree. I hear you use wastril bread, which gives the best xp(70?). Fine, but it takes about 32000pts to get to the first box after novice which would mean I have to grind around 400+ wastril bread using over 32k in cereal and 4k+ in fruit? Is that right? I have to have made a mistake somewhere, because that seems alittle much. I was already surprised to see that getting to novice chief took more xp then getting to novice armoursmith, but this..

Thats about right, you should probably go to Mixology 2 first so you can grind out Ithorian mists for 170XP. If you have practice on it should be 178XP.

How do people go about getting this amount of matieral?? Harvesters, mining, and buying?

You actually need 35 units of cereal and 10 of fruit for each wastril bread, so you're actually looking at around 15K cereal and 4K fruit for the first box, and I guess half again that much for the second....

Make no mistake, if you want to advance chef very far (maybe you don'tI dunno)you arelooking at acquiringhundreds of thousands of resource units.

Oh, and in my case, I used two accounts worth of personal harvesters running for a couple weeks or so to acquire my grinding materials.

AFAIR if you go straight to mixology2 and then Ithorian mist, you will need 168,000+ wheat, 64,000+ water and corn in order to master the profession.
