Step 1: Move your inventory all the way to the right of your screen.

Step 2: Be curious about a resource that is all the way on the right in your inventory. Is this the great quality wheat you want to use for yout Aludium pu36's?

Step 3: Click on the stack of wheat to examine it. The radial menu pops up and your cursor will be right on top of the Destroy option.

Step 4: For some reason you selected the wrong resource to examine! You meant to check the rice that is a little to the left in your inventory. So you...

Step 5: Let go of the mouse button. Voila, resource accidentally deleted!

You'd think I would learn after deleting more than 10K of resources this way....I must be subconsciously moving the inventory screen to the right!!

I did that once and added Step 6: Re-enable the "Confirm Delete" option.

Its mildly annoying, but its better than deleting 20k of resources.

MILDLY annoying?? Try very annoying, that 25,000 rice a accidentally exploded was worth it just so I don't have to do that extra step when deleting the 100s upon 100s of mists I grind out.
Though a good trick I picked up after this is to put most of the resource I'm using for grinding in my backpack and then remove it in parts to my main inventory. So if I do mess up I'll only destroy some of it, not all of it.
