Chef Archive

I logged in this morning and ground out my last 25000 xp to get to mixology 2. I then head to the chef trainer and he says "you don't qualify". I look at my xp bar.. all green.. hmmmm strange...

So I take the shuttle to another town and when i get off the shuttle HALF OF MY XP DISAPPEARED!! all of the 25k I spent all morning grinding out was gone. as were the resources used to gain it of course... relog - still gone...

Has anyone seen this happen?

The game is trying to warn you not to be a chef.

excellent - now how about a real answer?

I got on the shuttle to Kor Vella the other day with maybe 5k exp to go to train, and enough corn and wheat to get me there. I got off the shuttle and I needed more like 10k. I thought maybe I was hallucinating.. The bazaar was out of wheat, so I went to the cantina and bought some meat off a scout and did stewed gwouch after my wheat was gone. It was painful .

Oh well, I shall impart the knowledge you seek.
Its a database thing, there isnothing you, me,and apparently the DEVs can do anything about.
Basically when doing anything important avoid zoning or you might lose up to the last30 mins of what ever you were doing.

Then this would be similar to the "next day delivery" bug when buying things from a vendor and "zoning". Of course those things always came back the next day and sometimes sooner. Do I expect this XP to magically reappear tomorrow? Or is it going to be another clickfest?

I once bought a laser rifle, and had my game crash within about a min after it happened while I was zoning.... yah needless to say I never saw that rifle again.... though kudos to the game for still remembering to take my money lol
