it seems to effect everything slightly .. high flavor usualy makes the food a little bit beter..

I bet its in somekind of formula with Pontienal Energy.. I do think it was suposed to lower how folling an item was and thats just not working.

I thought it affected how quickly your food is digested, so to speak - affecting the time interval between being full and being able to eat again. Nutrition is the benefit you receive from the food, and quantity is self explanatory.

I've done various tests on flavor in a few food items, and I'm pretty sure it has little to no effect on stats. Stack size seems to be mostly or entirely based on overall quality, from my experience. Nutritional value seems to be some odd combination of quality, unit toughness, and decay resistance (see the thread chef contest a few pages back for some tests). Flavor/texture might be based partly on flavor, but I seem to have a hard time getting that high with most food items.

I do think drinks work a little better than food in terms of schematics. Flavor might possibly be relevant for drinks, but entirely irrelevent for food.

Actually..... Here is what I have found.

Flavor=How much you can experiment Duration(IE how many bubbles you get)

Potential Energy/Nutrition= how far you can experiment the Buff size(IE how many bubbles you get)

Overall Quality=Stack size experimentation(IE how many bubbles you get)

Martyn, I think he was asking if the stat "flavor" when you examine a resource, has any effect on any of those 3 bars. By the schematic if you have 1000 flavor ingredients, it should add 33% to the max experimentation of all 3 bars. If you have ingredients with 1000 flavor, quality, and PE, you should be able to experiment up to 100% on any of the 3 bars. This is NOT the case. The question then becomes how DO you get those bars to 100%?

The fact that they name a bar "flavor" and a stat "flavor" is confusing .

I don't know if there have been any threads with this... so I am just wondering if anyone else knows. I've heard, that although many schematics say Flavor = 33%, Potential Energy = 33%, Overall Quality = 33%... I am wondering if flavor actually matters. I have noticed that Overall Quality seems to be the deciding factor for the quality of my foods. If I have some wheat that is 900 flavor, 300 PE, 300 OQ. and another wheat that is 300 Flavor, 300 PE, and 900 OQ. They should have the EXACT same effect on the quality of food produced. But they don't. This is just what I have discovered while crafting. What have you all experienced?
