Thread: RE: The discussion of price of chef goods earlier....
The comparison i that i have begun to favor is that of chef food prices to Spice prices. On Bria, a crate of Muon Gold or Neutron Pixie will sell anywhere from 7k to 10k. Let's just say that it sells for 7.5k to make a nice round number for cpu. That would be 300 cpu for each item you take. I am not taking anything away from spices....they are worth it. I carry around a muon gold alongside my chef foods on my tool bar at all times. However, i will tell you that production of muon/pixies is MUCH easier because it is NOT reliant on quality of ingredients. They could use all ingredients that have 1 stats across the board or they can use all that have 1000 across the board.....the same buff/duration is produced. Chef foods rely on Flavor, PE, and OQ mainly. If we use crap goods, we get crap food. Therefore, for anyone to complain abouta fishak (which is a doozy to make) or Breath of Heaven (which is far tougher to make) that is selling for 200-300 per charge is just crazy if the food is half way good. For what its worth, on Bria i usually charge anywhere from 70k to 85k for crates depending on the stack size and buff quality/duration, and i can't keep it in stock more than a day or so. Food is a valuable tool to be used in combat. There aren't many chefs who actually are chefs. You have to expect to pay a little for a quality product that does not exist in abundance. Just my opinion of course. Flame on!!

I think thats exactly why spices are a good comparison...its generally 400-500 credits per serving on spice. Yet it takes only 45 resources of any quality, no components and much less factory time. Yet people dont complain about the price of spice. Ive pointed this out to several of my spice using customers in the past. I think people have a tendency to think "per crate" as opposed to "per serving" so they see whoa 90k vs 10k instead of seeing 450 servings vs 25 servings.

See, pricing is all about the demand. Since I can't ever seem to keep any stock on my vendors (Sell out of the popular stuff in a day or two) I have to mark up the next batch to give me time to make more before I run out. I bet I could sell fishak for 100k, and people would still buy it like hotcakes.
I dare say he's probably right about the fishnak. I think people on this server have a drinking problem. It just kills me to sell for that much though.
that and glucose..... sellign about 15 crates of glucose a day :/
Hey curious what you two Lowca guys charge for fishak if I may ask....
I think there is like 6 master chefs on Lowca.. demand far out weighs supply atm ![]()
