Thread: Would you keep training a hologrinder...
Well I definitely appreciate the responses. I have a tendancy to get really upset at people who don't display what I think is common courtesy, so I made this post to be sure it wasn't just an overreaction on my part. I think most people here seem to agree that it was quite rude of him.
I will ignore him in the future. Thanks for the replies folks. ![]()

Another name to go on my list.
LOL
It's bound to be a veritable who's who, that list of yours!! ![]()
id train him, who cares. if you think he should thank you, tell him to say thank you. i bet he doesnt cause he thinks you dont care.
either way, be the better person and help him.
I disagree, eez. It's not a requirement as a player that I train anyone, and by letting them be inconsiderate, I am just facilitating that rude behavior. I never expect a tip, and I will go meet someone if they are somewhere near where I am going, but if they don't show at least the slightest bit of appreciation (/bow, 'thanks', whatever), they won't get any further attention from me. And, for the record, I usually tip 500 to 1000 whenever I receive training.
S'per Light, the Spice Chef
I would never train someone after I did it once and didnt get a thank you. And thats from a holo grinder![]()
Howdy Sly
I get this all the time as well. However Im a master arch. I just started on Chef and Im not a grinder......I get people all the time asking to train em...Especially the holo grinders. I even get the same response like, "I'll be back in 10mins can u train me blah blah then". 90% of the time i get a thank you but those who dont even say thanks then when they ask again I just say sorry, Im tied up go use anNPC trainer.

Come on Vimes... You'd do it because you're SOFT!!! SOFT I SAY!!!! ![]()
Yeah, AP aside I really don't mind training people at all usually. I've been maxed/mastered for a while, so I just train to help people out. It's the not getting even a cursory thank you, not just once but twice, that caused to me to get a bit miffed. I figured maybe the first time he forgot, or was in a big hurry. Then when he came and I trained him again, and the same thing happened, it really put me off.

I'm a hologrinder myself (though it looks like my timing's good, there's chef luvin coming), and have paid for all my training. There's only one master chef in my guild, and there don't seem to be many on Corbantis. I may not tip for training (unless it's asked for) because I never charge for training, but dang, at least thank the person for helping you out!
By the way, since they seem to be a rarity, I'll be keeping chef for a while.
Screw the holos, I'll play the professions I like! :-)
